Learning with Kalam

Kalam is currently free to use for personal and family learning. Parents and teachers should guide children’s use, especially when opening external links or videos. Please use the service respectfully and do not disrupt it, impersonate others or interfere with another person’s access.

A study companion

The reading path, explanations, transliterations, stories and study notes are educational material. They do not replace a qualified teacher’s oral correction or advice from a scholar who understands your circumstances. Different Muslim traditions may teach practices differently.

App-authored teaching material is still awaiting a comprehensive qualified review. AI-generated illustrations are interpretations, and AI-generated audio, transcripts, summaries and translations can contain errors. Khutbah summaries are labelled study aids; consult the speaker’s original recording for their words. Please send corrections to info@getkalam.net.

Sources and reuse

Quran text, translations, recordings, fonts, photographs and other third-party material retain their respective copyrights and licence terms. Free access to Kalam does not grant blanket permission to copy, sell or relicense them. Follow the item’s attribution and the Credits page for the applicable source and licence.

Nothing in these terms restricts rights granted by an applicable open licence or by law. For reuse of Kalam’s original teaching material beyond the provided learning and printing features, contact info@getkalam.net.

Progress and availability

Progress is stored in this browser without a cloud backup. Keep any important reports using the available print features. We aim to keep Kalam useful and available, but content, features and external videos may change or become unavailable. We cannot promise uninterrupted access or error-free content. Nothing here excludes rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

Privacy and contact

Our Privacy notice describes browser storage, optional usage counts and external services. There are currently no subscriptions or payments in Kalam. If that changes, prices and purchase terms will be presented before a purchase.

Kalam is run by Kashif Pirzada. Questions about these terms can be sent to info@getkalam.net.
